You do not need a big graphics card
You don't need a big graphics card. Triton runs on one ordinary GPU, and on no GPU at all — slower, on the CPU.
Your card decides which models you can hold, not whether Triton installs. An 8 GB card runs the 5–6 GB models; 16 GB runs the ~9 GB one. Bigger models still work by spilling into system RAM.
The setup wizard downloads a working set on first run. Or skip all of it with online mode.

What actually costs money?
Only online mode. Running Triton on your own hardware is free and unlimited — no key, no account. The subscription buys one thing: our GPU instead of yours.
Does my data leave my machine?
Not in local mode — nothing is sent anywhere. Online mode is the exception: your chat goes to our GPU, which is the point of it. Local is the default.
Is there a per-token bill?
Never. Local mode costs electricity. Online mode is a flat subscription — not metered. Run it all day.
What does the free trial include?
Seven days of online mode, no card. Leave the key field blank and pick “Online”. Local mode needs no trial — it's free.
What can't online mode do?
Text chat only. Images and 3D run on your own machine. If that's what you came for, take the free local install.

What makes it an “agent” and not a chatbot?
It doesn't stop at an answer. It edits real files, runs tools, reads what came back, and keeps going — then checks its own result before saying it's done.
